Who Is The Mysterious UK Government Source?


Who is the mysterious UK government source who has criticised Alex Salmond for not attending a meeting of ministers from around the UK?

The Beeb has diligently published a UK government press release in an(other) effort to smear the First Minister.

The next Joint Ministerial Committee, which meets four times a year to discuss areas of mutual concern, is to meet in London.  The agenda is welfare reforms and the London Olympics.  Representing the Scottish government will be the Scottish government's secretary for parliamentary business and the minister for Commonwealth Games and sport Shona Robison.

Makes sense to have the ministers most closely connected to the subjects on the agenda doesn't it?

So who could the UK government source be?  Oh, I forgot to say the meeting will be chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.

    Makes even more sense to have an English minister attending to put forward the English point of view. A Whitehall minister is merely a stooge of the Barnett subsidy status quo.

    Why would anyone in their right mind want to go to a meeting chaired by Nick Clegg?

    Especially if the now nauseatingly all-pervading damned Olympics are on the agenda.

    A conference call would help save the planet from global warming from all that flying.
    The BBC said the First Minister had no business at the leaders debates but it's essential he talk to Cleggie, the tories little helper, who swapped 'solemn pledges' for a comfy seat in a big limo.
