  1. cynical.. good link. It's hard to believe that Labour really believe that the SNP are going around removing patients blankets as some kind of cruel conspiracy to kill off the elderly. Yet we listen to the Scottish Labour leader claiming this to be true and so have to take this horrible conspiracy seriously.

Capt Ranty..I've just read an article on your blog that claimed that Skype wasn't secure and was a good way to listen in to our boring conversations. I was brow beaten over this a few months ago by ASE as I thought the same thing but he said I was an idiot as it was really secure. Who is right ?

  3. RMc,

I think it was a secure means right up to the moment Microsoft agreed to let various governments listen in. I don't think the Legal Interception law has kicked in yet, but it is only a couple of weeks away.

The UK govt has had the "right" to store our emails for some time now and I know (as I have been in telecoms for over 30 years) that all voice calls are routinely stored. If certain keywords are used in the chat a transcript is spat out for the govt spooks to investigate.

George Orwell wasn't kidding, was he?
